What's Happening
The Run Down
We'll make this brief. Literally. We will be in and out in less than an hour, so save the tears for Champagne France, this is just a formality.... albeit it very vintage and very chic. . The Chapel holds 24 people, so if you don't fit, you can watch from the giant window wall of the chapel.
Dress Code
Vintage 1970's Glam: Not costume. Real glamour. Sequins, feathers, sharp tailoring, wide lapels, silk shirts unbuttoned just enough. Think Priscilla Presley meets Studio 54, with a little Tarantino edge. Or Bianca Jagger and Cher. Have fun, and don't be afraid to lean into that vintage glam. It is Vegas after all.
Never Vegas'd before?
We've Got You
Things to Know About Vegas 🥂
-
Alcohol is pricey on the Strip. We usually make a quick liquor store stop off the Strip for room drinks. Pro tip: Bring a Stanley (or any lidded cup) — Vegas is an open-carry state, so you can sip and stroll. CVS on the strip usually has large cans of hard seltzer and beer for lower prices too.
-
If you gamble long enough, free drinks will come to you. Just don’t forget to tip your cocktail waitress. Always.
-
Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. Summer is easily 100+ degrees. Keep a bottle of water with you at all times.
-
Pack a small backpack with essentials: ibuprofen, Liquid IV, face sunscreen, hand sanitizer, etc. You’ll thank yourself later.
-
WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES. Vegas is a shocking amount of walking. We pack Band-Aids and moleskin just in case blisters try to ruin the party.
-
Travel from casino to casino ( a lot of them connect) . They’re all air-conditioned, and you get to explore the incredible interiors instead of melting on the sidewalk.
-
Explore the hotels! They’re basically free theme parks. Don’t miss:
-
Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
-
Wynn Las Vegas floral installations
-
The free Atlantis show at the Forum Shops at Caesars
-
The indoor “outdoor” vibes at The Venetian Resort
-
-
For true old-school chaos, head to Circus Circus Las Vegas. It’s a wild ride. The older the casino, the cheaper the drinks.
-
Lastly, Have Fun. Gamble Responsibly.
WE are staying at
We'll be at The Cosmopolitan in a suite (with a living room and terrace for late night hangs.) There will absolutely be times where you can come up for drinks, outfit changes, pre-dinner hangs, and general chaos.
There is absolutely no pressure to stay at The Cosmo. Anywhere on the Strip is walkable or a quick uber/ tram ride. For reference, the closest hotels to the Cosmo are the Aria, The Park MGM, The Bellagio, Caesars, and New York, New York. These hotels are all on the same side of the strip, and are easy to walk between.
We'll share meetup times for optional dinners and activities we have planned throughout the weekend, all of which are optional! We will also share our locations for the weekend so we can all find each other, as we know everyone will branch off at moments. There will be between 25-30 people coming, and Vegas is easier in smaller groups, so it is fine by us if you see something you want to explore! Go for it! We will meet up with you later!
